The BL1826U also features 4 protections in the anode and 3 overheat protections in the chip to ensure safety, which prevents short circuits, overcharge/over-discharge, and overheating. Each 18650 battery is also designed with pressure relief vents that would expel waste gas preventing an explosion in the rare case of an internal short circuit.
As a great alternative for 2*CR123A disposable batteries, the 18650 battery is not only environmentally friendly but also allows multiple options of different capacity levels for different needs, such as 2600mAh, 2900mAh, or 3500mAh.
