Description

What is the difference between K3-I8 and K3-I9?

The biggest difference between these two items is that K3-I8 is using an IR850 LED, while K3-I9 is using an IR940.

Although 850nm IR is the most commonly used infrared wavelength for security camera lighting because it provides the best performance versus invisibility balance, and it is invisible to the human eye as "light", it does produce a slight red glow at the LED light source. As a result, it is unsuitable for covert surveillance applications such as those used by the government or law enforcement. 940nm IR light is recommended for covert surveillance because it is completely invisible to humans, even at the light source.

However, keep in mind that 940nm IR illuminators have about 50% less range than 850nm IR illuminators. Security cameras' IR sensitivity is different as well. Some cameras are not as sensitive to 940nm as they are to 850nm.

As a result, K3-I9 is the best choice for close-range and indoor environments where total invisibility is required. While the K3-I8 is more suitable for long-range applications when a slight red glow does not matter, such as hunting.

Brief Introduction

“See but not to be seen” is a dream for task enforcers, covert surveillants, and those concerned about their well-being and want to have better self-defense options.

K3-I9 is a high-power infrared tactical flashlight specially designed for covert surveillance applications, close-range and indoor environments where total invisibility is required. Equipped with one Osram 940nm infrared LED, the palm-sized K3-I9 can reach a maximum of 150 meters of beam distance without being exposed. The single tactical tail switch with one output design allows extremely easy operation.

The infrared flashlight K3-I9 is made of aero-grade T6061-T6 aluminum with HAIII hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. The special double gold-plated spring design ensures constant reliable contact against violent impacts during shooting. Additionally, the IPX8 waterproof (2 meters underwater) and 2 meters impact-resistant performance allow K3-I8 capable of use in all weather in all rough environments.
