FAQ

Q1: What is the use of a headlamp?

A: A headlamp or headlight (also known as a head torch in the United Kingdom) is a light source worn on the head for nighttime or low-light outdoor activities such as caving, orienteering, hiking, skiing, backpacking, camping, mountaineering, or mountain biking.

Q2: Why the mini headlamp HS3R is ideal for hiking, camping, and running?
A:
Headlamps are an essential item to have on hand when hiking, camping, or running at night. One distinct advantage over a flashlight is that it allows you to keep your hands free. The HS3R weighs only 39g and has a wider headlamp strap, making it extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

Additionally, HS3R is an 80° floody headlamp with a 135m beam throw, which allows you to see your feet, the rocks, and roots that might trip you up without having to tilt your head down.

Q3: How many modes does HS3R have?

A: HS3R features 3 modes as follows:

☑️ Turbo -> High -> Med -> Low

☑️ Hidden moonlight mode

☑️ Red light and blinking

Q4: What is the red light for on a headlamp?
A: The red light on a headlamp is designed to protect your night vision while still providing enough light to see. Furthermore, the red light mode on a headlamp is less likely to blind your friends, making them ideal for use with a group of people.

Q5: How long does it take to fully charge the HS3R?

A: Thanks to the TYPE-C high current charging design, it only takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the mini headlamp HS3R.

Q6: How to operate the rechargeable led headlamp HS3R?

A: Please follow the below steps to choose whatever output you prefer:

☑️ Turn ON/OFF
Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on or turn off.

☑️ Mode Switching
When the light is on, hold the switch for 1.2 seconds to switch to another mode.

☑️ Output Switching on one mode
When the light is on, click the switch for different outputs on each mode.

Q: Why can't I go to Turbo sometimes?
A:
HS3R is protected from overheating from two aspects:

Protection for Limit Time

After working on the TURBO mode (1100 lumens) for 1 minute, the headlamp will lower automatically to 700 lumens to avoid overheating. Then it will adjust the brightness according to the temperature security.

Temperature Control Protection

The product temperature is higher than the safety value will reduce the product brightness through temperature control to avoid product damage and injury to the user. The product brightness will gradually rise when the temperature drops below the safety value.

Q7: Does the USB C headlamp HS3R have a memory function?
A: Yes, it does.
When the headlamp is turned off, it will go to the output used last time. Please note there is no memory for the TURBO mode. If it is turned off in TURBO mode, it will save the HIGH mode by default.

Q8: How can I know the remaining power of my headlamp?
A: When the power is turned on, the indicator illuminates and then turns off after 3 seconds. When the power is turned off, tap the switch to turn it on.

Battery power will be shown as below:

Green light means
81%-100%;

Blinking green light means 51%-80%;

Red light means 21%-50%;

Red light blinking means
0%-20%.

The indicator light goes off automatically after 3 seconds. If the indicator light doesn`t go off, you can press the switch again to turn it off.

Q9: Can I make bracket angle adjustment for illumination in different directions?

A: Yes, you can adjust the bracket up and down 90°. It can achieve a 180° adjustment.

Q10: What is the use of the HS3R's magnetic tail?
A: The HS3R can be removed from the frame and used as a flashlight. The magnetic tail allows you to position your HS5R hands-free in yet another way.
